Junior C++ Software Engineer - Belgrade

About the role

Cisco is looking for a motivated C++ Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Belgrade, working on the Silicon One project. The team builds firmware, SDKs, simulators and compilers for the Cisco Silicon One architecture and works with worldwide distributed Cisco R&D centers. The position is hybrid, based in Belgrade, with applications accepted until further notice.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and program Linux/C++ SDK support for Cisco Silicon One-based devices
• Collaborate with software development teams on application design and development
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions
• Optimize software through maintenance, updates and upgrades
• Maintain code quality, organization and automation
• Design and program data-path and packet-processing flows
• Work with hardware and ASIC design teams and take part in SW/HW integration

Required profile

• Computer Science degree (finished or ongoing BSc/MSc) with an average GPA of 8.5 or above
• Good debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Preferred: basic understanding of how hardware works, positive attitude, motivation to learn, high autonomy and sense of responsibility
