Junior Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Payable Assistant is part of the SSC Finance Team at gategourmet Scandinavia, helping to process vendor invoices consistently, efficiently and in compliance. The role supports the existing AP team, focusing on invoice entry and matching against deliveries, coding of vendor invoices and routing them for approval.

Key responsibilities

• Match Cost of Sales invoices against purchase orders and deliveries in the SACS system
• Code and distribute operating cost invoices through the MEDIUS invoice automation and approval system
• Review and validate invoices, ensuring compliance with accounting and VAT rules and formats
• Review and reconcile the AP ledger monthly (e.g. debit balance clearing)
• Maintain the prepayment schedule and post and reconcile it to the relevant SAP GL accounts
• Manage the AP central mailbox so that vendor communications are handled within 24–48 hours, per company guidelines
• Ensure new vendors and vendor change requests are approved and processed in line with company policy
• Support AP-related internal and external audit queries and ad-hoc tasks within the SSC finance teams

Required profile

• Higher education (180 ECTS) or a bachelor's degree (240 ECTS); up to 1 year of relevant experience for higher education, or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree
• English B2 minimum, spoken and written
• Swedish, Danish or Norwegian desirable

Required skills

• SAP experience preferred
• An accounting qualification or partial qualification is desirable
