Junior Linux BSP Software Engineer

About the role

Quectel Wireless Solutions is expanding its R&D centre in Belgrade and is looking for a motivated Junior Linux BSP Software Engineer to develop and debug Android/Linux board support package drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and debug Android/Linux BSP drivers for peripherals such as display, camera, touch panel, audio, USB, charger, sensors, etc.
• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware‑software integration issues for specific peripherals.
• Participate in kernel stabilization tasks, including diagnosing performance issues.
• Collaborate with team members to gather and clarify system requirements.
• Contribute to documentation, including driver specifications and project reports.
• Research and experiment with new technologies to meet project and customer needs.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate superior.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Android/Linux BSP development.
• Ability to analyse driver‑level issues with guidance.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Writing and debugging Linux device drivers.
• Knowledge of peripheral interfaces: USB, UART, SPI, I2C.
• Familiarity with Android/Linux system architecture and kernel modules.
• Experience with driver‑level debugging tools.
