Lead UI Programmer – Unreal Engine

About the role

SportSpired Games is seeking a Lead UI Programmer to define and own the technical direction of the user‑interface layer for its next‑generation AAA sports simulator. You will blend hands‑on Unreal Engine development with leadership, guiding a team of UI programmers while building scalable, high‑performance UI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evolve the architecture of UI systems in Unreal Engine.
• Define technical standards, best practices, and documentation for UI development.
• Lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for a team of UI programmers.
• Develop complex UI features, ensure cross‑platform compatibility, and optimize performance.
• Create tools and pipelines that empower UI/UX designers and implementers.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, gameplay programmers, and other disciplines.
• Participate in hiring, technical interviews, and play‑testing cycles.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional UI development experience, preferably in games.
• 3+ years of hands‑on UI work with Unreal Engine.
• Strong C++ background and solid software‑engineering fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and complex codebases.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
