Manager, Specialist Sales – SME (South-Eastern Europe)

About the role

Mastercard’s SME segment helps banks, fintechs and ecosystems digitise B2B payments for small and medium enterprises across South‑Eastern Europe. As the Manager, Specialist Sales – SME you will act as the subject‑matter expert for commercial execution, driving new payment flows and service revenue through financial institutions, fintechs and alternative distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

• Localise Mastercard’s SME vision for the South‑Eastern Europe market and develop go‑to‑market strategies with the Customer Solutions Center, account managers and business development teams.
• Own market performance metrics, pipeline discipline and win‑rate targets, delivering measurable outcomes such as gross and net revenue growth.
• Partner with FI, fintechs, ISVs and pay‑fac partners to launch and optimise SME products, virtual cards, receivables/payables and embedded finance solutions.
• Lead senior‑level engagements with issuers, acquirers and platform partners to capture new payment flows and expand the commercial footprint.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution across product, pricing, legal, delivery and marketing to unblock complex deals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payments, banking or fintech with a track record of sales ownership and portfolio growth.
• Strong account‑management and consultative selling capabilities, supported by analytical and project‑leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Fluent English; South‑Eastern European languages strongly preferred.
