Product Compliance Counsel

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a Product Compliance Counsel to ensure its social entertainment platforms meet all legal and regulatory requirements. This remote, full‑time position will work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to embed compliance into every user journey.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve product specifications for websites and mobile apps, assessing compliance risks related to features, monetisation models, and platform requirements.
• Audit marketing materials and campaigns for compliance with consumer protection, advertising, and platform guidelines; advise on corrective actions.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions, communicate updates, and support implementation of required changes.
• Track sanctions‑related regulatory developments and apply internal sanctions controls.
• Develop and deliver compliance training, onboarding materials, and maintain internal guidance and playbooks.
• Review AI‑enabled products, third‑party AI integrations, and support AI risk assessments and governance controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
• Knowledge of consumer protection laws in the EU and the USA.
• Familiarity with marketing and advertising compliance laws in the EU and the USA.
• Understanding of EU and US digital legislation, AI governance, and Apple Store & Google Play guidelines.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills (B2+).
