RTR Accountant – Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting

About the role

As an RTR Accountant you will ensure accurate Record‑to‑Report activities for Avon’s Western Europe markets. You will manage fixed‑asset and lease accounting, maintain compliance with IFRS standards, and support timely month‑end reporting within a collaborative Centre of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain fixed‑asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and updates to the asset register.
• Run monthly depreciation processes and prepare movement schedules, investigating any discrepancies.
• Manage lease accounting in line with IFRS 16, maintaining lease schedules and calculating right‑of‑use asset and liability entries.
• Process lease modifications, renewals, and terminations, ensuring accurate accounting records.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations for fixed assets and leasing activities.
• Process bank statements in the ERP system and reconcile bank accounts to the General Ledger.
• Post month‑end journals, including depreciation, lease interest, and pre‑payment entries.
• Support month‑end close activities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary for asset‑related profit and loss and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Execute internal controls, support audit activities, and ensure compliance with global and local accounting policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Experience with Record‑to‑Report processes, fixed‑asset accounting, and lease accounting under IFRS 16.
• Working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
