Safety Scientist – Real World Evidence (RWE)

About the role

We are looking for a Safety Scientist III to lead real‑world evidence activities across the EMEA region. You will drive signal detection, safety data analysis and support product safety strategies, working closely with Safety Evidence Leads and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support safety data generation, assessment and communication strategies through regular interaction with Safety Evidence Leads and global stakeholders.
• Synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable insights that demonstrate product value.
• Monitor the competitive landscape for new safety information and support differentiation activities.
• Collaborate with Biostatistics and Digital Technology to establish and maintain safety evidence dashboards.
• Identify and drive innovation opportunities, including AI/ML and other advanced technologies.
• Conduct routine data‑mining to uncover gaps, communicate findings promptly, and ensure reproducibility via structured workflows and version control.
• Assist in the design, execution and reporting of pharmacoepidemiologic studies addressing specific safety questions.
• Participate in internal and external meetings for training, competitor intelligence and collaboration with KOLs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in safety data analysis within pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare settings.
• Proven experience working with safety databases (e.g., Argus Safety) and large healthcare datasets such as EHR, claims or registries.
• Strong ability to identify data gaps and translate them into actionable, cross‑functional plans.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to process and tool development.
