Senior Software Engineer – Java & Cloud (Belgrade)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Belgrade team and work on a central cloud‑based service that powers multiple products in Clarivate’s intellectual property management portfolio. You will help customers automate complex workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code in Java and/or Python.
• Contribute to cloud‑based services that support key IP management products.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
• Improve software architecture, development practices, and procedures with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Stay current with technical advances and evaluate new tools.
• Automate testing, write unit tests, and produce clear technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with Python, Typescript, and React is a plus.
• Experience working on cloud‑based services used across multiple products is desirable.
