Technology & Cloud Architect – Regional Cloud Platform Lead

About the role

UNIQA is looking for a proactive Technology & Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation and operation of shared regional cloud and platform capabilities across the SEE markets. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with local teams, vendors and architects to drive cloud adoption and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate regional Azure landing zones, automation, IaC templates and reusable deployment patterns.
• Automate deployment and configuration processes, define CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Support cloud onboarding of entities and workloads, ensuring governance, tagging, policies and monitoring are in place.
• Collaborate with DevOps, operations and vendor teams to troubleshoot, configure and maintain cloud/platform components.
• Create operational handover documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑sharing materials.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms or enterprise architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including networking, IAM/RBAC, Azure Policy and security principles.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure (landing zones, networking, governance, security).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• CI/CD concepts and tools, Git, scripting and monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of networking, virtualization, operating systems, storage and backup technologies.
• Experience with cloud governance, risk management and IT service optimisation.
