Product Counsel – AI & Technology

About the role

Proximus Global is looking for a Product Counsel specialized in AI & Technology to guide product, engineering, privacy, security and business teams. You will translate complex legal, regulatory and ethical issues into practical solutions that enable responsible innovation across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to design and implement AI governance frameworks that balance innovation with compliance.
• Advise on legal, regulatory and ethical implications of AI, machine learning and emerging technologies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, controls and processes for AI risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor global AI regulatory developments (e.g., EU AI Act, U.S. state laws) and convert requirements into actionable business guidance.
• Support AI risk assessments, governance processes and mitigation strategies for AI‑enabled products.
• Provide legal support for technology, AI and corporate transactions, including due diligence and commercial agreement negotiation.
• Advise on intellectual property matters related to AI systems, training data rights and model ownership.
• Deliver training and guidance on responsible AI practices to internal teams.

Required profile

• J.D., LL.B. or equivalent law degree with admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal experience advising on technology, AI, machine learning, data, privacy or digital product matters.
• Strong knowledge of global AI regulatory frameworks and emerging legislation.
