Senior Accountant

About the role

Alcazar Energy is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Belgrade. The role supports the company’s global shift toward sustainable energy by ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping, month‑end and year‑end closings, and record complex transactions within a group company structure.
• Provide accounting support for payables, invoicing, payroll, inter‑company reconciliations, and audit close‑out.
• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries, and produce balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, DFSA requirements, and audit documentation standards.
• Support the line manager with special projects and workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; qualified CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of corporate accounting or project costing experience, including audit exposure.
• Experience in a large organization/MNC, preferably in a capital‑intensive industry.
• Strong financial sensitivity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• PC literacy and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
