Software Engineer 2 – PowerBI

About the role

Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to help build reliable, secure, and scalable experiences for Power BI across mobile, Office, Teams, and embedded analytics. You will own end‑to‑end technical areas, create production services, and partner with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate platform capabilities for Power BI mobile, Office, Teams, and extensibility scenarios.
• Build and evolve developer‑facing SDKs, APIs, command‑line tools, packaging flows, and partner integration systems.
• Create CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and operational tooling to support Power BI clients and marketplace distribution.
• Leverage AI‑assisted engineering tools to improve development velocity, documentation quality, test coverage, and operational insight.

Required profile

• Passion for building high‑quality, scalable software that serves millions of users.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and delivering end‑to‑end product features.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to own complex technical areas.
