Software Engineer I – Professional Services

About the role

As a Software Engineer I in the Professional Services team, you will work from our Belgrade office and collaborate with development and engineering groups worldwide. You will contribute to the design, development, and integration of NCR Atleos' Authentic payment platform, a Java‑based solution that operates on Linux and Windows, both on‑premise and in the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Develop frontend and backend components using Java and SQL.
• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
• Document code and configuration changes.
• Extend business logic by creating Java extensions for the platform.
• Configure and manipulate data interfaces as required.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming, object‑oriented concepts and data structures.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Interest in the payment industry and data‑driven problem solving.
• Ability to understand business processes and capture technical requirements.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
