HR Operations Specialist – EMEA

About the role

Synechron is building an HR Operations team for the EMEA region. The HR Operations Specialist will support employee data management, payroll coordination, onboarding, off‑boarding and compliance across multiple countries, using automated tools to improve the employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, delivering prompt and accurate responses.
• Maintain and update employee records in Workday, ensuring data integrity.
• Process status changes such as hires, terminations, leaves, transfers and compensation adjustments.
• Prepare payroll files, audit results and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate pre‑employment background checks and manage onboarding and orientation sessions.
• Execute off‑boarding activities in line with company policies.
• Digitise HR documents, track attendance and monitor new‑hire progress.
• Generate workforce reports and audit materials on metrics like turnover, headcount and engagement.
• Continuously review and streamline HR processes, leveraging automation tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a shared‑services environment, preferably covering several EMEA countries.
• Proven ability to handle employee data, payroll cycles and compliance requirements.
• Strong command of English; additional languages (French, Arabic) are a plus.
• Relevant experience can substitute for a formal college degree.

Required skills

• Workday HR system.
• ServiceNow or similar case‑management/ticketing platform.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
