Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and precise Payroll Specialist to join our HR Solutions team in Belgrade. You will ensure accurate payroll processing while complying with Serbian legislation and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Independently execute payroll calculations in line with current laws and company policies.
• Collect, verify and process payroll‑relevant data, including attendance, absences and other employee changes.
• Calculate and report taxes, social contributions and other statutory obligations to the appropriate authorities.
• Prepare and submit required legal reports, forms and filings within established deadlines.
• Provide support to employees, answering queries about salaries, allowances and benefits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date payroll information.
• Monitor legislative updates and incorporate relevant changes into payroll processes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement best practices in payroll administration.

Required profile

• Higher education (VSS or VŠS), preferably in economics, finance or accounting.
• At least two years of experience in payroll processing and employee record management.
• Strong knowledge of Serbian Labour Law and tax regulations.
• Attention to detail, precision, responsibility and reliability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite.
